Piece of Cake

Would you ever make your own wedding cake?

Personally I would be too terrified to attempt such a daunting task (especially with my very limited baking skills), but it seems like more and more people are taking it upon themselves to create their own little slice of heaven.

This coconut cake from Martha Stewart looks luxurious and delicious, and Southern Living’s amaretto cake is fun and light-hearted. Both were made from scratch, and with a little love (and a lot of really superb lighting) they came out looking sweet enough to eat!

Homemade Body Scrub

Homemade body scrubs are an easy way to exfoliate without all the harsh chemicals. And with ingredients like brown sugar, extra virgin olive oil, and lemon zest you can find everything you need to make them right in your kitchen!

I love these body scrubs from one of my favorite chefs – Paula Deen. Her Citrus Salt and Brown Sugar Body Scrubs can easily be mixed together, placed into jam jars, and tied with the cutest of ribbons.

And they make the most perfect gifts!
