Three Ways to Love Your Body

Ladies, today is Love Your Body Day! To celebrate, I’m posting three awesome and (easy) things that always make me feel better about myself. I hope they work for you too!

Number 1: Work Out

I’ll be the first to admit that it’s a struggle for me to start working out. Even during my workout it’s a struggle for me to not quit/die. But after? After I feel great. I feel healthy and strong, which makes me feel awesome. Working out is also good because it gives you a sense of accomplishment. Last week you ran two miles? Psh, this week you ran three! (Okay, maybe 2.5, but still!) Plus, working out releases endorphins in your body which make you happier. Can’t beat that.


Number 2: Cuddle

Find me a person who doesn’t like to cuddle and I will be shocked. Everyone loves to cuddle. Go search out a person who appreciates you for who you are and snuggle in close with them. You’ll find that it makes you feel amazing about just being you. The kind of sweet touching that comes from cuddling is enough to make any girl feel appreciated, pretty, and confident.


Number 3: Dance in your Room

Crank some music, and totally let go. Dance it out and sing at the top of your lungs. This result in the best feeling ever because you have no one to impress, it’s just you and the music! My favorite songs to dance solo to: Natasha Bedingfield’s “Pocketful of Sunshine” (see above), Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now“, and Beyonce’s “Diva“. Among probably a million others.


So today’s the day! Do one (or all) of these things and celebrate you because, well, you’re awesome.
